Hello, and nice to meet you all! My name is Jiyeon; I am currently studying Kindergarten/Elementary education in French Immersion Pedagogy at McGill University. I have worked as a student teacher at a French Immersion Primary school where I assisted with classwork of all subjects in French while ensuring students' understanding of the concept learned in class. I also provided a 1:1 assistance for students of all abilities and areas of learning needs such as ADHD and anxiety.  One of my proudest moments was my opportunity to be a literacy tutor for a wonderful 8-year-old student struggling with learning French as his third language, specifically reading in French. To break the anxiety of language learning, I incorporated a variety of teaching methods such as educational games, and reading materials that focused on my student's area of interest. When my student was able to read in French on his own, it was rewarding  for both of us as we realized that learning is a continuous journey and that progress is more crucial than perfection. I am well-versed in tutoring elementary school children in any subject that is required; particularly core French(high school as well) and English/language arts. I hope to meet with you soon :-) !
