I'm Hank! A current student at the University of Toronto, majoring in Philosophy and Political Science. I discovered my passion for mentoring the younger generation in high school, where I completed a Sociology course as a teaching assistant. Learning any subject is ultimately a pathway to philosophical thinking. Philosophical thinking is, conversely, the way to success in academic study. I refined many thoughts of learning through my study in philosophy, and I realized the ways to make meanings of it is not only that I practice those thoughts but also sharing them, and letting children benefit from them - that is why I love tutoring. With one year of private tutoring experience, I'm competent in tutoring all subjects up to Grade 9, or English and Humanities up to Grade 12. In addition, I'm a native speaker of Mandarin; hence if you prefer the medium of instruction to be Mandarin or wish to learn Mandarin, I'm always available. To tutor at my best, I welcome any personalized and preferred learning style from parents or children themselves. I also have a flexible timetable and am open to discussion regarding any aspect of tutoring.
