I am currently finishing up my 4-year Biomedical major with a minor in English, and throughout my year I have had several experiences tutoring, assisting professors, and teaching students from elementary to high school. I have worked with an organization called Lets Talk science which was a wonderful opportunity for 2 years where I got to create activities to teach different topics in science to children from elementary to high school. I had also tutored in my university for a year and have lots of professional experience with harder subjects and how to create a plan to help better teach the subject to each individual student and there a specific way of learning. I also for a year had taken an interdisciplinary course on peer tutoring where I had learned to tutor in a large group I had helped tutor a grade 9 physics class. All of these experiences have helped me gained a lot of insight into how important it is to work with each individual student and adapt teaching patterns to each individual and how to communicate and teach in different ways as I have taught in a variety of different grades. My experiences have helped me enhance my abilities to tutor and teach at various different skill levels.
