I have been tutoring a wide range of students in math since 2010. Though my main students are American high school students aiming to get into Ivy League colleges as I help them with SAT/ACT and AP/IB math, I also teach elementary/middle school math, PSAT/SSAT math, and math competition (Art of Problem Solving, University of Waterloo). I am a big believer in approaching math problems with ‘why.’ By focusing on the reason why we use specific formulas and strategies, students are able to carry this lesson onto other math topics and build their creative thinking abilities. I am committed to make math easier and more enjoyable to every student I help, and this always leads to better grades and competition awards. On top of regular lessons, I provide ongoing support for quick questions and through assigning homework that assesses the students’ retention of newly learned concepts. I graduated from University of Waterloo with Mathematics major.
