I have taught ESL to students from ages 3 to 50 in private language schools, preschools and private tutoring in S. Korea, Taiwan, and China. I am comfortable tutoring one on one and in groups. I hold diplomas in the Montessori method of education and Early Childhood Education. I have 150 hours of teaching ESL instruction obtained through the International TEFL Academy in Chicago, IL. I love teaching and will design lessons based on the age group, level, needs and interests of the students. For example, for adults, lessons could focus on conversation and/or grammar instruction. Some examples of teaching methods for adults are: find topics of interests, the use role-play, quizzes, worksheets and games. Young learners, lessons would include phonetics, grammar, reading, writing, speaking and literacy also using role-play, games, worksheets and quizzes. To keep very young learners engaged I would employ songs, finger plays and puppets, story telling and games to maintain their interest.
