Hi! My name is Alessia and I am 23 years old. I was born speaking Italian and French. I started learning English by myself when I was 8 and I have realized that what worked for me was conversation. A lot of conversation. I would often talk to myself in English and I refused to watch TV unless it was in English. I first realized my passion for teaching when, in still in high school, I was started helping my friends who were studying foreign languages and were having trouble with exams. The approach I saw worked best for me was: conversation and listening exercises first and grammar will usually follow/ start coming naturally. However I understand that everyone is different and I am willing to adapt to each person's needs. My official journey as a tutor began in 2017, with two boys aged 6 and 8 at the time. Since then, I have had many students, including some who have stuck with me from my beginnings and who I am still working with today. I am patient and understanding and love working with children! (my students so far have been mostly children and teenagers aged 5-16 years, but I have also worked with a number of adults.
