Hi! I have just finished my master's in math. I have been tutoring for over 4 years and I have worked as a TA (teaching assistant) during my master's. Often a question is too hard because you are missing a key piece of prerequisite knowledge. It is important to identify such gaps in knowledge and address them, otherwise you will be just as stuck in a similar question. Other times a problem is hard because what is given and/or what is required is not so clear. This is an opportunity not to just clarify the problem but to address the reason the source of the confusion. These are most of the cases where I hear: "Aha! Now I get it!". Other times, the notation can be confusing.The correct approach is not to just explain what the notation means but rather to explain why the notation was chosen. I'm looking forward to helping you.
