Ever since I was a child in elementary school, I found passion and great interest in helping others and working with children younger than myself, such as doing reading buddies programs at school. I started babysitting from a young age, went on to become a camp counsellor for several years, a tutor and then decided to pursue teachers college. I started working with individuals with special needs when I was in high school and this continued in university and afterwards when I was employed at a private school working with a child with autism in 2013. Since then, I have worked with many other children with special needs in school settings and for private families. Every individual is unique and this is no exception for individuals with special needs. Each person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and care and I endeavour to work by these values with anyone I work with and hope to make a positive difference.
