I have volunteered for a respite program called rEcess in Toronto. This program allowed me to be with a special needs individual for 5 hours at a time and entertain them while their parents went out for some alone time. I also have a lot of experience working with people on the autism spectrum as that is the kind of diagnosis the children I work with have and something I plan on specializing in after I am done my diploma.
