Offering in-home and community respite services for family members. Have access to a vehicle. I have worked with a family for many years with their adult (23yrs old) with Prader-Willi syndrome. On a typical day we would go into the community to engage in activities such as watching a movie, going to the mall, the zoo, etc. I would ensure that she would not be tempted to eat unhealthy foods and that she had healthy snacks to consume on our outings. Some evenings I would provide in-home care and assist with healthy meals.I have worked directly with children and adults with ASD in the field of behaviour analysis and ABA/IBI in terms of placement experience and created evidence based programs for the clients to assist in building their skill sets. I have also had a few summers of special needs camp experience in where we would assist people with various special needs in their daily lives navigating the camp and engaging in fun activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, and sports.
