Formal experience working with persons with special needs includes working with people of various ages and abilities. This has included being a respite worker for an adult with autism, working with children and adults with speech and cognitive impairments in camp settings (sometimes around horses), and senior residences at Tall Pines Long-Term scare Centre in and out of art and horticultural therapy sessions. Limited availability starting September, but especially enjoys working with and being around persons with autism spectrum disorders. With the understanding that each individual has unique needs and experiences, also highly sensitive to the experiences of people living with multiple diagnosis for significant mental, physical, and emotional challenges.
