Nine years experience working in school programs, a hospital setting, day programs and with private families that have children with special needs of varying ages and cognitive abilities. I have a few years experience working with older youth and young adults that have extra care needs as well. I am passionate about working with private families that need extra support and feel that my education and experience provides me with the right skill-set to be an ideal long-term care provider. I am continuously learning about autism and different therapy modules and also other special needs diagnosis' and am willing to learn from families about what their expectations and needs are. Experience with toileting, sign language and augmentative communication, ABA, speech therapy, mobility help, lifts and transfers, ventilators and life skills training.
