I grew up in a home that cared for foster children, many of which had FASD, autism, and other developmental delays. I also grew up with my uncle who has cerebral palsy. I was a nanny for 2 years to a toddler with some cognitive disabilities. My mom was a community support worker and our family did respite for various special need adults. While taking my ECE i cared for a man with down syndrome in the community.
