With approximately six years of experience in the field, as well as personal experience living and working alongside my cousin with special needs, I have worked in various settings throughout my career. I have spent time as a Live-in assistant in a L'Arche group home, assisting women with developmental disabilities and ASD. I have worked in various group home settings, school settings, and home settings providing behavior support, as well as life-skills support to individuals. Currently, I work as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) providing mental health support to individuals struggling with burnout, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I recently graduated with a Masters's degree in spiritual care and psychotherapy. I would like to continue providing in-home care support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, and emotional support to the families of the individuals I support. I would also like to combine my education and experience to ensure quality support for the individuals and families in my care I believe in the importance of providing not only quality care to your loved ones, but coming alongside you in the emotional highs and lows that come with caregiving.
