The only experience I have with a special need's child is with my friend's son. He is a high functioning Down Syndrome child. I have looked after him several times including weekends at my house and looking after him and his siblings at their house while their parents were away for vacation. For the last four years I have been an elderly caregiver but now my clients need nursing care so I am looking for other people to care for. I feel that if the special need is not too challenging, it would be a pleasant situation to experience.
