Hi there! My name is Irma, and I am currently a Personal Support Worker. I have been a PSW for over 21 years, and 19 of those years with the same agency. I help to support the elderly, and people with special needs. The main scope of my role focuses on: -Ensuring the elderly suffering with dementia have a safe environment, and providing direction on daily tasks such as: bathing, toileting, and feeding. I also help to provide stimulating activities for them to take part in to help them with socialization. -Supporting people with Disabilities including: Cognitive delays, Autism, and Physical Disabilities. I support with Diapering, Feeding, providing engaging activities/play, and tidying up the home.
