Working locally as a community support worker, I've supported individuals with complex & challenging needs; behaviourally, psychologically, emotionally & developmentally. Some of the areas I am skilled in are: Washing, bathing & showering clients, as well as assisting or fully providing personal hygiene. Supporting learning of life skills - road safety, cooking, public transit, assisting clients with their volunteer or paid jobs. Assisting persons with personal development - listening, speaking, anxiety & appropriate social skills. Preparing meals, snacks & drinks for clients. Assisting with healthy food choices. Administration of medications to persons served. Completion of essential paperwork. Ensuring the security & safety of the home is maintained at all times. Communicating with service providers in the community.
