Bita C.
CAUTION: I was given 4 references and none of them returned my emails/calls despite numerous attempts, except one that sent me a short nondescript lackluster email. Regardless, I hired her. My job posting was very detailed, as was the interview and the contract. She enthusiastically accepted the position. My current nanny, whom is sadly leaving to take care of an ill parent, spent 2 weeks training her. During this time, no concerns were brought to my attention. The day before she starts on her own I get an email stating that the duties were not what she expected. Strange, given how everything was outlined even before she accepted the position. She offered me no notice, not even common courtesy to offer to stay on a few days so I can arrange coverage at work. I'm a doctor and I don't have the luxury of someone filling in for me at work, which she was aware of. I found this to be very inconsiderate and lacking professionalism, shows her true character. I'm glad I found out now.
