Employment: Development Support Worker for Caregivers/Momentum • Assisting clients living with an IDD at home or in hospital care • Work varies from cooking meals, assisting with bathing, administering medication, logging information on the health and wellbeing of clients, and contributing to clients’ recovery plan • The most important role I serve as a DSW is to help my clients develop*. That is, to work to see measurable progress in the mental health and behavioural issues my clients have. • Have acted as team lead on a complex case for 5 months and will continue in this role until I leave the company in the fall. Client Service Experience: • Through experience in the entertainment industry, as well as extensive time working in food- service, I understand the importance of brand and providing all customers/clients with the same, consistently perfect service • Within my capacity as a care-taker I am a skilled orator; I am especially adept at simplifying information for confused clients and peers. I am excellent at communicating with irate clients and diffusing tense situations • I can help make anyone feel comfortable and informed • Heavy attention paid to detail and consistency on projects I work on
