I'm currently a pre-service teacher studying to get my bachelor of education, and I have over 5 years of experience working in a respite home. I've worked with children and young adults with a range of physical and mental exceptionalities including but not limited to ASD, Down Syndrome, and ODD. I am not quick to shy away from a challenge and believe that establishing a trusting relationship with these children takes patience, care, and time.
