I have worked along side children and adults with all kinds of learning needs. I am certified in first aid, Respect in sport, WHMIS safety, As well as obtain my food and safety handler’s certificate. Before the lockdown I was a coach for skate Canada for several years working with all children and adults regardless of their learning needs. I worked for the YMCA where I was constantly responsible for large groups of children with multiple learning disabilities. I’d handle daily challenges such as children attempting to run away, extreme behaviour outbursts and much more! I currently assist a family friend who recently adopted their 3 grandchildren with prominent learning disabilities, They all say I’m a great cook (but maybe they just suck up for extra dessert ;) yet they always enjoy it) I grew up helping my brother with autism, as well as through out elementary school assisting the special needs classes.
