I have 17 plus years working with special needs youth in the school system, alot of experience with autism aspergers and downs syndrome. I was most often placed with the youth with the highest needs as i am comfortable doing so, patient and can think outside the box. Energy we put out is huge and needs to be adapted for each person, so observing listening and paying attention are key, looking for communication that is often non verbal.
