My experience begins in my own childhood when I volunteered for L'Arche. When I finished highschool I immediately continued volunteering as a support to people in wheelchairs. In my adult years I have been a CSW, RSW, children's summer camp leader, nanny, and personal caregiver for individuals suffering from MS and Spinal Bifida. I am passionate about defending the rights of vulnerable individuals. I love the shared laughter between people from all walks of life. I believe that everyone has abilities and disabilities and it's important that vulnerable individuals have support while navigating the challenging moments in life. A few of my methods to manage stress and anxiety with folks include leaning into art such as drawing, painting, and mindful movement as well as nature immersion such as mindful breathing outside, observing a tree, noticing the colours in a garden. I am willing to learn about the specific needs belonging to you or your client to ensure a safe and connected experience for all.
