Hello,I have over 15 years experience as a Home Support Worker and Companion often providing care and Companionship to seniors living with Dementia or Alzheimer’s. In these roles my responsibilities as well as work settings, have been varied. While employed for 8 years by a Private Seniors Long-Term-Care Residence in Montreal, my duties included preparing and serving meals as well as assisting with eating. I also provided assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming. Performing household chores such as laundry and light housekeeping were also a part of my daily responsibilities. Over the last 11 years I have worked as an independent agent, for 4 years, with a Seniors Home Care agency based in Ottawa, providing in-home support services including, Companionship, Cooking, Light Housekeeping, Shopping, Transportation to and from appointments and Gardening. Since 2012, and counting, i have been working for myself providing support to seniors. All that aside, I can’t express enough how enjoyable and rewarding it has been throughout the years offering companionship and forming truly amazing friendships with so many amazing seniors.
