Every elder has a history worthy of an attentive ear. Isolation only serves to exacerbate loneliness, depression, cognitive and physical decline and it's important the elder has opportunities to engage in activities they enjoy in familiar surroundings with individuals that support and foster a safe, enjoyable atmosphere with a hint of humour while respecting the elder's rights to make choices.
