Hello! I am a 19 year old PSW, I just graduated with my PSW certificate in January but I have 2+ years of prior experience as a Resident Support Aide in various long term care homes. I have a strong love for elderly, I think they are the sweetest. I currently work part time in a Long Term Care home but I want to expand to home care for extra income, more flexibility and most importantly more quality time with the individual I am working with. Relationships are the biggest factor with PSW-client care, it makes all the difference when you and you’re client have a good bond, if makes work feel like it’s fun! It’s like being with your best friend all day. I see how the decline that comes with age affects people and their lives, and I just try to help them make the best of the rest of their lives!!!
