My first experience as a senior caregiver was for my next door Grandfather who was bedridden. My Grandmother was his only support; Families and friends were to busy to help. I had recently moved to their place, and it quickly became apparent how difficult it was for them both. To allow my grandmother have some free time, I was hired to sit with my grandfather during his lunch hour. I would arrive around 8:30 and prepare his food (he ate the same thing every day), give him his pills, watch the news with because it was his favorite, as he likes to know what is going on around him. I could say I achieved through my great communication skills, patience, compassionate and many more.
