I've helped many elderly people over the years. When I was young my mother helped to care for one of our elderly neighbours. In my late teens, I joined her and helped for years. This included companionship, light meal preparation, assistance dressing and moving from bed to chair or toilet etc. Later in my life I cared for my father and this involved much of the same tasks in addition to comforting him when he was confused. He had memory problems due to brain damage so he needed someone who was aware of his specific situation to care for him. I love to chat. I studied History in University and have a Masters in Theatre. I've always been involved in my community and volunteering. I'm from Ireland and have been living in Montreal for almost 8 years. I have Safe Handling certification, First Aid, CPR and Mental Health First Aid certification.
