I was the primary caregiver to my art mentor, Gary Brunt, up until he passed away in 2019. We met in a chess club that got together twice a week, and I fell into becoming his caregiver until he passed. I thoroughly enjoyed the short time I had with Gary, and I treasure the friendship we'd cultivated. I took care of bill payments, groceries, meal prep, housework duties, and caring for his two kitties. I also played lots of chess and watched many TV shows and movies together; I spent every day with Gary. we also loved to paint together.
