I am a second year student at the University of Victoria with a semi-flexible schedule. I am wishing to pursue a career in caregiving, to take further steps in this direction I will be transferring into the Health Care Assistant program in the spring of 2019. I have always had a passion for helping others and I have pursued this through volunteering/organizing week long trips to the Vancouver Downtown Eastside, volunteer fire fighting (outside of the school season) for the past three years among many other activities. I have only worked with one elderly gentlemen which included feeding, cleaning and checking in on him almost daily. However I wish to build up my experience in this area of caregiving. I know Americans Sign Language and I love to meet new people!
