I am looking for seniors or others who may be struggling with independent living in their home. Perhaps they need assistance with light personal care, companionship, pet care, mobility, cooking, cleaning, laundry, maintenance & repair, landscaping, gardening, etc. I work from home just a few hours a week so this would be perfect. I would be happy to do all these things for food costs and a bedroom. I don't have a vehicle but if they have one I'm happy to conduct errands, get groceries, drive them to appointments, etc. A bit about me: Editor at a small local publisher, quiet, brainy, Christian and churchy, social, musical, outdoorsy. I have many domestic skills. I am extremely covid careful and wear a tight-fitting certified N95 mask in all med to high risk situations. What I envision is taking the time over several weeks or months to visit them (and family) and volunteer at various tasks. This would allow us to build trust and get a sense of compatibility. My hope is to form a genuine relationship of mutual benefit. I'm in Halifax but would be happy to relocate to the greater Wolfville area. I can provide a bond and plenty of personal references.
