My love and interest in working with seniors stems from the relationship I had with my grandma who unfortunately, became ill and passed away four years ago. While she was ill, I spent a lot of time with her and given my passion for music, sang to her as well. That dynamic motivated me to volunteer in a Long-Term-Care home, where I stayed for 3 years as a volunteer musician. A little more about me: - Empathetic, energetic, passionate, friendly, open-minded, genuine, and friendly - Self-taught musician; guitarist and vocalist - Undergraduate Degree from the University of Guelph, Psychology - Graduate Certificate from Fleming College, Therapeutic Recreation (Recreation Therapy) - 4+ years of experience working with seniors with Alzheimer's and Dementia/other physical and cognitive impairments.
