I completed my Personal Support Worker certification through an Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre (Accredited PSW Educational Program) in 2017. Along with my PSW Certificate I have also completed my Standard First Aid and CPR HCP, Gentle Persuasive Approach to Dementia Care (GPA), Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care, PSW Program WHMIS Certificate, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, and IPAC Core Competencies. For the past 3 years I have done community home care and I can 100% say I love what I do. I love being able to assist our seniors with their activities of daily living. People tend to thrive better when they are surrounded by happiness and that is home. Home is where the heart is. I believe that age, diagnosis, or disability shouldn’t define who someone is or where they live and I’m committed in helping keep your loved one in their home with providing care with compassion, kindness, respect, patience and dignity.
