Hello. I am the first year student in the Health Information Management Program at Fleming College. I am applying for a PSW position. I am a Registered Nurse with 3 years’ experience at Veterans Hospital in South Korea. I have a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science. I got three months training period as a trainee, and then I was assigned to a surgical ward where mainly surgically damaged patients in an army are hospitalized. Most of them are quadriplegia who is wheelchair-bound or limited mobility due to spinal cord injuries. So, my task is more focused on regularly doing position change to prevent for sore, urinary-catheter care and listening to their stories with all my heart because most of them suffered a severe accident and traumatic disorder. I have realized that there are many of our neighbors who need our care. I would glad to be one of help. I am looking for the opportunity to use my medical care experience and knowledge. Also, I would like to keep learning and developing my experience with helping people. I would like to give a help to other people especially disabled or elderly people who are required help in many aspects. I know that this job is so rewarding and worthwhile thing.
