For the past five years, I have been working as a personal support worker. This position has allowed me to work closely while maintaining professional boundaries with resident’s supporting and assisting them with all activities of daily living while helping them maintain independence and dignity. Working as a Personal Support Worker has given me the opportunity to work independently as well as a contributing member of the health care team. I have participated in various risk assessment and management courses as well developed and implemented behaviour interventions and support initiatives.
