I am an experience certified Hospice Palliative PSW with many years of enjoyment working with the aging population in various settings. I am seeking a new client and family for either short or long term from 9 am to 3 pm any 5 days a week. I am in Oshawa but can drive to rural Durham. I am easy going, have a gentle approach to challenges, and open minded. My many years of experience has taught me patience and to accept the things I cannot change and to go with the flow!! No one should go thru an end of life journey alone. The person that is facing their final journey or the family and friends supporting their loved one. I can be there to assist with household tasks. I can provide bedside vigil. I can provide respite for those who are in need of self care time to recharge. I have a good bedside manner, love to talk or listen, read stories or write life stories. I can be involved in the care plan as much as or as little presence - whatever works so that I am able to support with whatever helps.
