I volunteered at a retirement residence for one year, working specifically with three residents who had mild to moderate forms of Alzheimer's or dementia. I really enjoy working with the elderly, talking with them, taking them for walks and passing the time playing cards or whatever games they choose. I would do the ladies' hair that I visited as well as their nails, I helped with mealtimes, both cooking and feeding, and also performed other small tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
