I am a 28 year old female who lives in Kelowna. I have a 7 year old Husky who loves to accompany me on walks and car rides. I am definitely a sucker for a good cup of tea. Although I do not have any experience in Senior Care specifically, I do have a plethora of experience in customer service positions. I have also had a very personal experience caring for a family member. Years ago, my mother contracted C.Difficile. There was 6 weeks of hospitalization, including ICU care. Upon discharge, I was the primary caregiver. For three months, I had to help with meal preparation, bathing, medication schedules, and managing the household. I have always really enjoyed interacting with seniors. The stories, the cute little quirks, and the ridiculously good feeling you get when you help someone. I enjoy listening to stories, even if I have heard them a time or two before, and even the sass I find pretty humorous. Our seniors deserve someone who is going to enjoy being around them. I know it's hard enough for some seniors to come to terms with the fact that they need help, so why not make it as pleasant as possible?
