I completed my HCA in 2013 and began working in a long term care facility. I worked with clients with all sorts of capabilities. I helped with dressing, feeding, changing, walking, and lifts. I also worked with clients who had dementia, Alzheimer's, and other diseases, as well as a quadriplegic. I have done home care, long term care, long term in the dementia unit, assisted living, and in hospital care. I feel very passionate about working with the elderly. I love to hear their stories and to see them smile. It really does warm my heart. A lot of seniors don't have anyone so I enjoy being the one who brightens their day with the help I can provide. I have always wanted to be a nurse. I love helping others and have the upmost respect for the elderly.
