I graduated from Academy of Learning May 2014 with exceptional honors. Began working as a health care aide at Villa Marie Covenant Care facility since April 2014. I work on a supportive living unit, along side 4 other coworkers and a LPN, with a capacity of roughly 40 residents. My duties include basic ADLs for morning care. I have experience with the following...administering medications from either strip form/bubble packs, giving treatments (inhalers/eye drops/topical ointments/transdermal patches/medicated mouthwashes) knowing how to read MARs/TARs/care plans, using mechanical lifts (full lift/sit stand/ceiling lifts (be-Lite certified) charting, and most importantly...being a companion to my residents is one of my biggest joy! I am 33 years old, I have two children aged 6 and 3, and engaged. I live in Red Deer, originally from Rimbey where I grew up at since the age of 3. I am a very compassionate, outstanding worker who takes pride in my work ethic, and absolutely loves my career. I enjoy being the person someone relies on for basic needs.
