My name is Anna. I am 22 years old and am transitioning from working for an MP to becoming a PSW as I've realized I prefer a job interacting more with people. While completing my undergrad, I worked at a retirement home. I was a server but with Covid, my job more became one of companionship. I believe that companionship is the single greatest factor in anyone's health and that is something that a lot of seniors lack. I have a deep admiration for the older generation. I love to cook; my mother is a chef and taught me everything I know. As a type 1 diabetic, I understand that dietary restrictions are important to pay attention to. I am comfortable cooking gluten and dairy free, vegan, and low sugar if that is a need. I envision a job where I can cook meals for someone, stalk up their fridge with groceries and leave some home-cooked meals prepped in the fridge. I am happy to clean, run errands, drive someone to their appointments, help bath, clean or just spend quality time. I love to read to people, happy to play a game of scrabble, or go for a walk. I love animals and will clean up after them. I enjoy spending time with my grandparents and I would treat any elderly person with the same care, love and respect as I do them.
