I have nearly 2 decades of pet care experience, and have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I seem to connect with animals better than people, and even the most shy ones seem to feel comfortable with me. In my previous career, I was a pet stylist (dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits) and have also taught grooming. The salon also featured a doggie daycare where we socialized and trained all ages of pups, so I'm familiar with basic training techniques as well. I have a Veterinary Assistant diploma from St. Lawrence college, and worked for a Veterinarian for 9 years, picking up invaluable knowledge about pet care, health, and well-being along the way. I also completed a Pet First Aid course when I was a stylist. While my health no longer allows me to groom full time, I am still able to do minor beautifying ie. brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning and minor trim ups around eyes and paws. I'm available for day time visits, feeding, administering medication and other small household needs (watering plants, bring in mail etc) as well as daycare at your residence and dog/cat walking. Larger dogs who pull will require a meet and greet first.
