30 years ago I rescued my first cat, and the rest is history as they say. I have run an unofficial cat hostel for the last 25 years. I've had over 15 different companion felines stay with me during my cat care tenure. I especially love the senior animals and am familiar with all that comes with our elderly feline and canine populations. I've also had 4 canine friends that have filled my life with so much joy. I have been volunteering with Humane Societies both in Durham and Toronto since 2011. I have worked with dogs; walking, cleaning up after them, preparing pens and following up with their specific training needs. I also performed cat socialization and cuddles. Finally I worked with the special species department working with a number of different mammals; bunnies, gerbils, mice rats, chinchillas and guinea pigs. I am currently volunteering with the Toronto Wildlife Centre in a few different capacities. A friend of mine once told me that God put me here for the animals. i could not agree more.
