I've been pet sitting for families for 3 years now. I love helping others and I love animals- it's been a great match! Most of my experience has been overnight stays caring for cats, though I started by caring for an adorable dachshund named Leiszl first! My responsibilities have varied depending on the pet, family, and their specific needs, though my tasks have always included feeding, ensuring the animal is well hydrated, taking care of their bathroom waste, light grooming (combing fur to prevent hairballs), and of course play! I have had to administer eardrops for one of the cats I've cared for as well. I know it's an important decision to leave your pet in the care of someone else, for any amount of time- I love being able to set families/pet owners minds at ease by providing the best care I can for the little one (or ones!) they're entrusting to my care.
