I have grown up with dogs in the house for my entire life and always love their company. In my previous home, I had a yellow lab named Lucy who I would take for walks on the beach or in the forest regularly. I have seen her through two leg surgeries and know how to care for dogs with special needs. Since I do not have a dog of my own at the moment, I rely on the company of other's dogs to get my doggie fix. I treat all dogs with the same care and affection as if they were my own. I always bring a calm and assertive energy and believe a well-balanced dog is a happy dog. I have also worked for a dog walking company and was comfortable managing both small and large packs of up to 8 dogs per walk. I have worked with both small and large breeds, young and old, on and off leash. I grew up in Ontario and when I moved to Vancouver I transported 100 lbs of English bulldog, named Ivy, in my small Volkswagen Jetta to be rescued by a woman on Vancouver Island. This was one of the most challenging yet rewarding dog experiences. Challenging because at the end of 5 days I had to let go of one of the most loveable travel companions and rewarding because that same companion was given a second chance at an amazing life.
