When I was 10, my family adopted a 100 lb black lab/mastiff mix named Chief and I took care of him for 10 years before his passing earlier this year. Now I have adopted a beautiful 14 year old cat, and plan to have animals close to me for the rest of my life. My grandmother has also had countless animals running around her apartment, from dogs to cats to birds, and I have learned a lot from her in terms of animal care and information.
