I am an animal lover - I'm sure that's how all of these personal descriptions start :) But I am a rescue dog and cat owner as well. One of my dogs (Millie) is rescue from Texas and she is a tripod. She came to our family right after her leg was amputated and we gave her the patience she needed to learn to walk on three legs and and build her confidence around other people. She's the fastest dog at the park now. We have a rescue cat too who came from a traumatic home and we went from petting her with a back scratcher, to now being able to give her hugs ... until she's fed up :) Animals are the best. Better than people. The deserve love, patience and respect.
