My name is Maya, an animal enthusiast and caretaker. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember and have taken care of various animals all my life. I have rescued two animals, including my mixed red fox lab, Jeter, and my old handicapped chicken, Luana. I am punctual with feeding, walking, and the general care of the two dogs I have now. Previously, I volunteered at the Parrot Partner Bird Sanctuary in Carleton Place, where many exotic birds are housed until they are rescued. I was asked to complete such tasks as maintaining the cleanliness of the sanctuary, feeding the birds, training, walking the birds outdoors, and handling them once permitted outside of their cages. I have also looked after the animals of my friends in the past, the most recently being another parrot, Chili, whom I looked after in my own home for a little over a week. I have also had a guinea pig, Tigger, and have looked after the smaller animals of my friends.
