I have always been a huge fan of animals and I have always had a lot of empathy for them. I have such a soft spot for all creatures, I can’t even harm a mosquito :) I grew up with a variety of pets such as dogs (big and small), cats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, a turtle, and a parrot. I’ve learned to care for all of them and so I am well equipped to handle a variety of animals. Additionally, I work with mice in the animal facility at Carleton university so I am very familiar with handling small rodents. I spent 6 months working for a pet sitting company where I was responsible for walking dogs, feedings, overnight stays, litter cleaning, and medication administration.
