Growing up surrounded by animals, a love for them has always come naturally to me. I believe that animals are more than just pets, rather they are friends, companions, and even more so family members. The bond experienced between an owner and their pet is like any other, changing both the lives of the animal and the person. More importantly, The Humane Society is a remarkable foundation that provides the opportunity to change both the lives of animals as well as their potential owners. I have had the opportunity to volunteer at the Humane Society over the past two years by walking and playing with dogs as well as cats. Moreover, I have lived in a household of 2+ dogs all of my life and maintain hands-on experience with cleaning, feeding, and walking them.
